Dear Sir/Madam,
I am the principle applicant and applied Immigration to canada thro Consultants. I have applied on July 2005 and got file number August 2005. Recently I have forwarded all the updated documents and My Sister´s Details who lives in canada and Notarised documents of Her passport for my sponsorship to canada to consultants and they informed that the documents have been sent to Canada High Commision on 13 th Oct 2009.Many times I approached my Representative that is consultants, they are not telling , when shall i get immigration ? So please tell me when shall get Medical Test and Immigration Visa?.Moreover , i have got 6 in ielts and also IELTS score card has been forwarded to consultants. Now they are saying , Ielts 7 band is prefered,Also they are informing , Degree M.Tech and Experience gained after file submission to immigaration to canada , is not considered for evaluation. Now I have decided to cancel my representative and I need to know that the cancellation of representative will affect the application status or not. However, Canada High Commission told that if I cancel representative , your change of address will be updated in file only not in cic.gc.ca. website.
Please guide me how to handle this task.

Hi Collagen,
If you are asking your agent about when you will get the visa, medical etc. and you are not getting reply back for them, dont get upset, its not in their hand which they should have told you upfront but they havent as they wanted to have your money.
Now you can cancel the representative on your file and it doesnt affect your file. I am not sure about your address, I think it must be your residential address on your file though your representative is there. If not then you need to change the address on your file too.
For how long will it take approximately, you can see it on website it self. Refer to below mentioned website, you have to select your class of application and country of application. Keep in mind that this time is after your file has been transferred to your home country. Initial time period in Canada for first stage approval is taking more time than expected now a days for any class of applications.

In terms of IELTS, you get points based on your language competencies so the more bands will give you more points.
I would suggest you to send the degree certificate you have achieved after your application for immigration, to CIC with cover letter explaining about your achievement and you would like to update your file.

ONE OF MY UNCLE HAS CALLED HIS WIFE TO CANADA UNDER FAMILY CLASS AND HIS WIFE IS CREATING LOT OF TROUBLE TO MY UNCLE CAN MY UNCLE SEND HIS WIFE BACK TO INDIA. AS HE HAS GIVEN SPONSERSHIP AND LETTER FOR FINANCIAL HELP. PLEASE GUIDE HE IS IN BIG TROUBLE.
