I married a lady in the philippenes in August 2008. we started our visa for her coming to Canada to join me I was approved as a sponsor and the visa process was then sent to Manilia for there processing she had sent in all her needed documentation as requested by the canadian embassy in May of 2009. She recieved a letter stating that in there search they had found records of her being married still in the philippenes.they said that becos of this we where not legally married they stated she had 60 days to respond so we did stating it was an error on our part as we thought her ex had done the annulment and before we could wed she had gone to the NSO in Manilia to check and they had no records that she was married. so we said we would hire a lawyer and get the proper paper work done so we hired a lawyer and had the annulment registered properly. the problem for us is that at no time have they contacted her or myself letting us know if the explanation was good or not. so we proceeded with the lawyer and we have sent them all the annulment papers and documentation this was completed and sent to them about 3 weeks ago. on the canadian Immagration website it still shows the case file as being in Process but still no info or reply from them I even sent them an e-mail thru the canadian immagration web site but still no response they still hold her passports and her daughters. does any one know of a way of contacting the immagration department to find out any type of info of where your process is. Seems like a big black hole.

They barely respond to anything they said you have 60 days to get it sorted out,you did your part so your marriage to her is now legal and thats what they wanted.so just wait as to they will either contact you again or they will finish up the process.
You cna call cic mississauga and ask if they could check if they recieved the papers and if it was processing.
