Subject: Urgent Query
  Hi all,

I have some queries re: Canadian Immigration. My MBA exams are about to start and at the same time I need to write IELTS which is difficult as it requires complete attention. Is it possible to email canadian consulate for time extention as I then fetch 5 points from that professional course. By the way I am in the 3rd month after getting file number from them, also need to complete IELTS. Looking forward for valuable suggestions. !@! Cheers!@!

Im sorry to say no they will not extend anything and if you tell them you really need to extend they will give you a date that is so far fetched.

Thanx all for your kind reply. I am glad by seeing these many responses. I need to get 7.5 in listening and 6.5 in remaining. What if I get some less scoring in IELTS and then mention at the time of submitting docs that, awaiting results. Also I need to submit it till july 10th so will there be any chance to get positives from consulate? Thanks onces again

my understanding is that your education points are locked in at the time of submission so there will be no extra points for your current course.

given that you were supposed to provide proof of language up front with your application, I would not push your luck on the stall tactics. I would make sure you get the points you need first time around.

prem .check ur ilets scores again ... 7-9 you get a 4 .. 5-7 you get a 2
so if you need to get a complete 16 so all above 7
so what i understand u need 10 point right ? in ur first language ..
so play on getting above seven in all points of the exam ...coz if you play on what you need you will get less ;) ......
i did the ilets exam 4 time coz i needed to get 16 points total .. ( i wasnt married at the time i applied )..but when i found da materials online and practiced it over and over i knew the tricks ..so find the materials ..practice ...and you will get the scores u need ..but aim high my friend ..

Permanent Residency visa (in reply to: Urgent Query)
Hi,

I have been given a PR visa which expires 24 April (if I don´t use it). My problem is I have a couple of exams in April/May so I intended to ´land´ in Canada early April and then return to the UK to do exams and then return to Canada in June. My question is, how long do you have to stay Canada once you have ´landed´? Can I leave a week later? I know there is the issue having a PR card but I could get my family to send that to me in the UK. The Canadian Immigration website doesn´t say anything about this other than needing to spend at least 2 years out of a 5 year period in Canada to retain your PR visa.

Thanks.
