Subject: Stuck up real bad :-(
  Hi all,

This is real bad news as I paid almost $ 3500 for Canada Immigratioin! Now there are real time hurdles

1. I am about to complete my masters in admin (writing 4th sem)
2. Submission date is till 10th of July where I need to complete ielts. There is only one slot left for IELTS and need to get 7.5
3. My bacholers certificates are also with my college
4. Attestation, bank statement and police clearence certificate are all pending

Now real question is, what if I email consulate for time extension as I am writing my master´s exams. Will they consider if I attach my certificates and hall ticket wit it? Also I they reject it by chance, will I still go ahead with writing exams and submitting my ielts bands (may be I will get 6 - 6.5) is there a possibility that consulate guys accept my application if I mention awaiting results?

What would be the refund procedure if all the above questions answered as no :-(

Looking forward & thanks in advance for your precious advice

we are not CIC so we cannot gaurantee what they will do. it is a crap shoot.

there is no refund on the application once you get a file number.

That´s why is it always advised not apply unless you have all(or most) of these documents in hand and accompanying the application (not to be sent later). I don´t know on what basis they are going to approve your application as they won´t be able to review any supporting document for the points you claimed. Just wondering: why is your Bachelor certificate with the College? Don´t have your certificate? Why is your bank statement pending? Didn´t you go to the bank in person and get the statement or just print it out from your online bank account??

Bank account statements I can get it anytime. Its complusory to submit bachelor degree if persuing masters. This I can again try and get in 10 days as I have date till 10th July. The only concern is with ielts bands which I am getting 6-6.5 in mock tests. If I mention awaiting results at the time of submitting docs will I get some consideration from consulate to adjust my points with masters degree. My consultant is advising me to keep going and apply for it.

Also, how earily can I apply if this application file gets rejected?

you masters will not be considered under this application.

why are you asking us here if you have a consultant that is giving you advice?

you are paying him to know... so ask him and believe him.

The problem is he got all his money in advance, he initially adviced to apply on bachelor´s degree and now saying that masters could have fetch more points. That´s also one of the reason for me to put the above subject line. He will not gonna repay even a single cent/paise

Let me try pulling him completely to pay atmost attention and thanks Sharon for all your valuable inputs. Much appriciated... chao!

Prem, You´ve decided to go with a consultant so do whatever the consultant tells you to do. If he´s wrong you can still squeeze his balls - and I´d highly recommend to do so (e.g. publish the company´s name and post a review, etc.).

you went to the consultant telling him you would like to immigrate - correct. At that time you had a bachelors degree. Your consultant is correct - a masters would have got more points but obviously, you decided not to wait to apply. Brian, I fail to see why squeezing should change anything.

Why should he give you a refund? He did not guarantee your approval. He helped you fill in your forms - nothing more. If you kept telling him you would send it later... who´s fault is that? You have some responsibility here too - IELTS is the biggest one.

Never apply until your documents are in order and you are sure you have 67 points. Otherwise you are wasting your money.

Is it not the responsibility of my consultant to tell me 7.5 is for expert users in language profencecy. He simply looted that you can easily smell Sharon.

Sharon, I dont agree. A consultant that charges $3,500 for simply filling in forms that most people could do themselves without any professional help is not worth the money (I dont know whether Prem paid this amount for advisory only, though). I expect a little bit more for the money that goes far beyond paperwork - he/she should advise his/her clients more thoroughly about options and chances. this includes also aspects such as the optimization of a client´s application. another aspect is the creation of awareness in regards to importance of application items such as IELTS.
