A consultant cannot tell what IELTS results will be until the test is taken. Prem is STILL guessing at this point himself and is now in a panic months after his application was sent in.
No doubt he has gone back to his consultant and confessed that 16 points for language is going to be tough. Consultant is correct, 12 points for language and a masters degree would have been a point trade off. Consultant is also correct that there is no harm in trying. Application fees are gone. what´s to lose? Study, write the IELTS and hope for the best.
Worst case scenario - be TOLD to start again. current scenario - ASSUME you don´t have the points and start again. Best case scenario - Prem gets 12 points maybe 16 and they have mercy and consider his masters degree. Consultant is correct - there is nothing to lose in carrying on.
Consultants cannot manufacture points and can only base their advice on information provided. Education, age and finances are pretty basic. Language proficiency is up to the client and no consultant I am aware of offers IELTS exams to prospective clients.

No consultant can provide IELTS. You have to contact with IELTS test organization body. British Council and some others can be option.

When one seeks out and asks for advice than pays for that advice one should take that advice!
Nobody should retain anyone unless they have done their own due diligence and checked references, spoke to previous clients and confirmed that they have had other clients in similair situations.
That people refers to home renovations, Immigration, Dentist and any other person one would pay for a service.
What bothers me is those who think squeezing someone who has done no wrong (the consultant) is the road to take. A persons word is everything and if they or you signed on the dotted line live up to the contract which ever side of the fence your on.
Now for the Trolls that come out from under their bridges when a logical, common sense reponse is posted and start writing their foul comments. If yoou have no logical opinion shut up and go back under your bridge, child.
Nothing is going to derail the great morning I see outside my window, so call me names, you can not spoil my day!
