I will be at the Immigration Appeal Division four times this week to represent clients with their Spousal Appeals. Any couple can get refused for the most rediculous of reasons. Always dot every i and cross every t and have tons of supporting documentation for any spousal application, common law, conjugal or married.
Today ADR Spousal Appeal is about a couple which got refused because the Sponsors Father got divorced went back to China and got married. He had a wedding reception at the Qing Qing Restaurant. That Restaurant is in the Visa Posts oppion a place where bogus marriages are held. I won his Fathers full hearing Appeal just last week.
A employee at the Qing Qing Restaurant told a Migration Inteegrity Officer that to prove a marriage at Hong Kong Visa post you only need to tables of guest.
Ask yourself this when it is a requirement that you must invite more than twenty guests to your wedding reception?
Luckily the father had five tables with fifty guests and could prove his relative worked at the Qing Qing Restaurant so he had an additional motive of saveing money on his wedding reception.
We all view things through our own eyes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we assess great food in the mouth of the consumer.

Sharon, that´s very good insight in to how we go about this. And Roy,that story gives real good perspective as to what the ordeal is about.
