May be this piece of info would be useful to some of you.

I have a friend who was not asked to submit the RCMP fingerprints. Accordingly, he did NOT submit it. He got his PP request letter yesterday.

His timelines are:

Buffalo office, Indian, AOR Dec 03, IA June 04, Med Aug 04, PP req Jan 05.

This is strange. Buy Hey, if it has worked for him then more power to him. I hope they cut the red-tape for other us dude´s as well.

Now did he not submit finger prints at any stage? Maybe he submitted at intial stage and was never asked to submit it again.

Just to let you know that RCMP fingerprint waiver has become quite common now a days. So those who are not asked to submit fingerprints need not worry. Just relax - it is not a mistake by CIC - they just believe you.

RCMP wait times (in reply to: RCMP fingerprint waiver)
according to their websites, it can take 120 days (4 months) or more for a check - they are processing 20,000 requests every month!
