Subject: Pleaassseee Advisee!!!!
  hello,

I am confused what would be the best thing to do?

1) I am dependent applicant on my mother application for PR applied at New Delhi office in march 2005.
2) With the new Provincial Nominee program for Masters students, i am eligible to apply for that.
3) Currently I am in my last semester and looking for a job. If i get the job i guess i could apply in Canadian Experience Class.

Since, on CIC website (under faster immigration article) it says, they are planing to clear backlog soon so sometimes I think it would be the easiest way to get PR, only if our case is picked up in time.

If anyone can guide me what would be the best option for me at present so that after some time i should not feel like i made a mistake.

Any advise and help would be highly appreciated.

if you can be 100% sure that you qualify - I would apply on your own. That way you can get on with your life.

Hello dev,

Approx. all the applicants, who have applied before feb. 2008 are surely going to get the PR´s though it may take 2-3 years from now (If there are no security and medical issues for whole of the family at the time of issuance of visa). So,remain in que and if you want, you can apply for other temporary visas like student visa on the parallel lines. It will not affect your mother´s PR case. Even if you are going for PNP after study, it will take 3 years to become a PR.

Hello sandeep,

Thanks for your reply. But if I look at PNP for Masters student, it looks like it will take not take more than a year. Like I am graduating in August so If I apply by the end of August, I would be processed for Provinvial Nominee certificate within 90 days and once I have the certificate I can apply for the program and it would take next 8 months at the max. Please correct me If I am wrong.

Thanks

Hi Dev,

You did not disclose in your initial posting that you are an international student. If i am not wrong, you are studying in Ontario. If this is correct, check your eligibility for the said programme at "ontarioimmigration.ca"
