Hello Everyone,
I am new here and would like some advise over my fiancé situation in Canada.
I am a British citizen and live in London, I do not know much about Canadian immigration.
I´ve been told by fiancé that he got married a few years back to a lady who later on accused him of only wanting to marry him to stay in the country, she has now moved, not long after this she divorsed him and re-married moving on with her life but reported him to immagration.
my fiance lives and works in canada and says he´s already a permanent resident in the country but has a case with with immagration and there´s a chance of loosing his stay due to the accusation of his ex wife.
He says that he´s waiting for them to write back to him with a decision on whether he can stay or leave the country.
if they ask him to go he will be returning to our country of origin Ghana.
please help me as I am very confuse.
I would like to know if I should sposer him to the uk or is he is able to sponsor me even though his case is under review.
and also how likely are they to send him back?
We plan on getting married early next year

Canadian sponsorship is a 2 part application. First the Canadian is approved and then the foreign applicant. Until his case is sorted out, he will not be sponsoring anyone and I would suggest you consider the same.

Thank you for the respons,
Are you saying that even I´m not able to sponser him?
and also if thats is the case should he go back home (ghana) for me to sponser him there instead.
if we do that will his case effect its immagration in the uk,
I am so sorry for all these question, I just dont want to be married and live separate coutry from him.

I don´t know how immigration to the UK works. I will suggest however, that you as a person be very sure you know this person, and do not rely on only hearing one side of the story. You would not be the first person that has been used for immigration purposes - Canada or the UK.
