Subject: Skilled Professional PR - can my wife land alone?
  Hi,

I´ve secured a COPR under the Skilled Professional program along with my family. I´d like to know if its possible for my wife to enter Canada alone and start setting up residence there so that I can continue to work & earn in my present country while she sets things up.

Is her PR independent of mine or do I need to land before she does? How does it work? Due to current job commitments, I´m unable to land in Canada so I wanted to know if she can land alone before the landing visa expires.

Thanks
Sumen

You are required to land before or at the same time as your dependents

Thanks Sharon.

A follow up question....
if I land & get my PR but my wife can´t land with me or before her Visa expires, can I apply for a family sponsorship for her ... again? How easy is this and how long does is normally take compared to a standard Skilled Worker application?

Thanks again!

it is possible but you will need to be residing in Canada to make it all happen. Family class outland applications: 8-18 months.
