Subject: Change of address confusion
  Hi,

I´m in the process of receiving PR via family-class sponsorship. My wife, who has lived with me in the States to this point, is returning to Ontario in two months, while I, for job-related reasons, am moving from where we currently live (the address that is on file with Citizenship and Immigration as our permanent US address) to another state for four months. Given the speed that our application has been processed with so far, I assume I will receive my passport request and PR visa sometime during the four months that I am living in another state.

My question is, would it be better to change my address with CIC to the new address in the other state, and should my wife change her address to reflect the fact that she is now living in Ontario? Or, given that I don´t know exactly how long I´ll be at this new address, and I might wind up having to bounce from state to state after these four months are up for another couple of months, would it be acceptable to simply keep my address the same, but let my mail be forwareded to a more permanent location, say, my parents´ address?

I guess what I´m asking is, will I get in trouble if I´m changing addresses frequently while my immigration paperwork is in process? And if so, what is the best way to keep a "permanent" address for CIC without actually having one? I´m leaning towards simply forwarding my mail with the US postal service to my parents address and not saying anythign to CIC, but I´m worried this will come back to bite me.

Advice?
