| Subject: Why no AOR but have file number? |

Hi, I haven´t received AOR since I filed my application in Sep. 2004. In Jan. 2005 I got a letter telling me that the initial assessment of my application will soon begin, besides, there´s my file number on top of the letter. How is that? Don´t we all have to receive an AOR? and a financial receipt? I´m really puzzled. Could anyone please help me out. Thank you so much!

Hi,
Your file # is your AOR. Usually, it comes with your $550 payment receipt. In your case, i am not sure why you did not receive the payment receipt. You might want to call CIC and find out.
