Ok, I am a US citizen, my fiance is a canadian, but has a permanent US residence card. We are both live in Texas, are NOT moving to Canada, but wish to have the wedding ceremony (with a texas marriage license) in Canada. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if it is not, then how do we go about it? PLEASE help me

(in reply to: Marriage) Why not just get a provincial marriage license when you come to Canada? It only takes 20 minutes to get a marriage license. Just two pieces of ID required.

(in reply to: Marriage) something to consider... should everything go sideways and you wish to file for divorce - you must file in the jurisdiction where you were married. Canada is a long way from Texas.

(in reply to: Marriage) You can not get married in Canada with a Texas marriage cert. You need one from here if you wish to marry here.
