I am looking for information and what to do?
I have been working in Canada with a temporary low skill work permit and my family has been with me with a visitor permit and they expire 08/31/10 my employer has all the intentions to keep me here but we had some opportunities with the person doing all the paper work and basically nothing has been done the new person they hired is doing all she can but just today (08/13/10) they have applied for a new LMO, my concern is that the LMO will not come before our permits expire so we wont be able to apply before the expiration date.
I want to know what happens to us? what status do we get? do I have to do something or just wait until 09/15/10 till we get the new LMO if they accept it and apply then for the new work permit and visitor permit.
What should I do? please advice me, I would appreciate it very much.

Let me understand this post.
You had some opportunities with the person doing the paper work (?) .... but nothing was done.
Now your employer has hired another to do the work. The new person can submit a WP application while the LMO is in process.

Sorry it took me long to reply, yes they have a new person doing the work, we are still waiting for the reply on the new LMO application but no answer my families and my permit expire on 08/31/10 I called immigration call center they told me I can apply for my workpermit before the LMO arrives just have to show prove that it is being processed so I dont lose our status and I can keep working and daughters can go to school as implied status.
If you have any suggestions or advise please let me know.
