Subject: Physical presence requirement rule
  Hi everyone,

On what day does a PR need to satisfy the physical presence of 1095 days in last 1460 days requirement for citizenship application? Is it on the day that the applicant signs the citizenship application? Or does the applicant have to maintain that requirement throughout the application process until the citizenship is acquired?

In other words, say for example a Permanent Resident applies for citizenship after living in Canada for more than 1095 days in last 1460 days. Can he go out of Canada for personal reasons as long as the applicant can come back for citizenship test and citizenship ceremony? I understand the applicant have to inform in case of more than 14 days absence.

Will the application process be affected if the physical presence dips below 1095 days after sending application?

Since the application process can take up to 14 months, does the applicant have to maintain the physical presence requirement through out those 14 months?

Regards,
Sam

On the day that the applicant signs the citizenship application.

And I cannot think of anything in the world that would hinder your PR right and natural right of mobility after you submitted a Citizenship application.
