Subject: PRRA Interview
Hello I am Mike and my question is what should i expect in my PRRA interview in Calgary.

I claim for refugee and shortly after that, I got married to my wife who is a Canadian citizen. My sponsorship was sent out shortly after my wedding. My refugee claim was declined and this PRRA thing came up. My marriage sponsorship still haven´t came in yet, but I have been called for this PRRA interview. Is there somebody else who is been in my position before, and they could help me?? Thank you in advance...

Provide PROOF you mailed your In Canada Spousal Application before your letter calling you to the PRRA and Public Policy will mean your PRRA will be deferred. Unless you have deliberately prevented your removal.

A PRRA interview (in reply to: PRRA Interview)
John Doe was called in for a interview after receiving a letter that "....removal in FORCE."

During this interview, he was asked all kinds of questions, mostly his current activities and so on.

And he was reminded specifically if the PRRA application is refused, he will have to get ready packing and approved, otherwise.

The officer gave him a PRRA application to file within 15 days and 30 days to submit supporting evidence.

Good luck! This is one scenario.

Due to public Policy and your proof that a In Canada Spousal Application is in process CBSA will not proceed with your Pre Removal Risk Assessment.

They will inform you that everything will be put on hold until CIC renders a decision on your marriage. Go to www.cic.gc.ca and search for Operational Manuals and read Inland Processing Manual IP8.

When called to an initial PRRA interview your asked;
Do you have an In Canada Spousal in process?
Do you have any criminal charges or convictions?
How is your Health, etc?

Then your given forms to complete within 15 days.

Then your told NEW evidence must be submitted 15 days after the forms date.

"I claim for refugee and shortly after that, I got married to my wife who is a Canadian citizen. My sponsorship was sent out shortly after my wedding. My refugee claim was declined and this PRRA thing came up".

1- Timing is everything. At this point you have a foot out of the country.

2- You filled a refugee claim and shortly after that you married a Canadian and applied for PR within Canada right?
hmmm

GOOD LUCK.

PRRA Update. (in reply to: PRRA Interview)
Hello again,

I went to the PRRA interview, and the PRRA was put on hold until CIC makes up their mind about my spousal sponsorship case. I want to thank you Roy for all your help. I hope this forum will help others who are going or will be going through the same stuff.

Thanks,
