can an applicant still pay his landing fee even if it already lapsed? my friend forget about paying his landing fee because of re-medicals. last Oct. 19, 2004, he was required to pay the landing fee within three months. He had his medicals last november and because of re-medicals he forget about paying the landing fee which expired last Jan. 19, 2005. Will the embassy still accept his payment?

Its a good chunk of money isn´t it? Did your friend have no money o rhave second thoughts about shelling out megabucks to the promised Land? Well it is late! They are not going to accept his measly cash any more. Talk about indecisiveness! The best approach is to go to Embassy and tell somebody what a grave mistake it was and maybe they will find a way to accommodate the late payment.

an immediate fax/and registered letter explaining the situation is mandatory followed by a confirmation phone call. CIC is tough but not cruel. Make sure the funds are ready to be sent the minute they say OK.
