Do you have an idea how much it´s taking from INDIA for CANADA IMMIGRATION Process. My file is of July 2004..... What´s the waiting period for this.....Any idea would help...

i have putted my file at new delhi for canada P.R and i got my file no on NOV. 2006. but still i do not receive my visa. can you tell me when will i get my visa.

Hi,
Cases submitted before february, 2008 in India may take time ranging from 6 to 7 years.

The number of annual applicants from India prior to Feb 2008 used to be much higher than the annual ´target´ (´quota´). As such the wait times are very high.
Given the current trends, these are my guesses.
ImmigFrom INdia: you can expect your case to be finalized by end of 2011.
vipul: Bad news. If you qualify under new rules, better to withdraw your application and reapply. Otherwise the wait is going to kill you.

look at the current list of NOC codes to determine if you qualify under the new rules. If you do, consider withdrawing your application and applying again. If you do not qualify, your only option is to wait... and it is going to be a long wait.

Whats the procedure for appealing against denied Visitors
Visa. My brother-in-law expired last week. His wives
brother & sister wanted to visit their sister but were
denied visa. The are well settled businessmen in India, but
lt looks the counsellors in Chandigarh(India) office are
just dumb and no matter what they just stick to one sentence "you will not come back from Canada" and just ignore the facts that they are well settled and has family and business back home. Please advise since it looks Canadian Immigration Counsellors dont understand the meaning for family reunion even if there loved ones are no more.

there is no appeal process for a denied visitors visa. your only option is to try again and try to understand that they need to do a better job of supplying CIC sufficient information that will prove their return to India. It must be in the application. Verbal assurances are not enough.
