| Subject: Mother and brother sponsorship |

Hi All
I need a bit of help. I sponsored my mother and brother back in February 08,2008. I received a letter from CIC April 08,2008 advising receipt of my application however till today we have not heard anything from CIC.
I have tried to see the status of the application online but nothing is available. Can anyone let me know is this a normal length of time before having the application processed or even hearing from them. Please help.

Yes - this is normal. You probably have another six months or so to wait. The first step (in-Canada processing) currently takes 37 months and they are working on applications submitted June 26th, 2007 at this time. See the following link for processing time lines:
