| Subject: Extending visitor visa for my mother |

Could she stay in Canada while waiting for the sponsoring of parent granted. However, her 3rd extension will last this year and we have not yet received cliet ID number in order to follow up the status of sponsorship. What should we do? She does not want to go back home. Could she extend while waiting for the papers to approved but we applied her sponsorship in the country where we came from and her spouse is her dependent. Both of them are in Canada already as tourists

Hi Jane,
Your Mom can stay until she hears back from immigration department about her extension. If refused to extend she has to leave within specified time limit. If approved she can stay as per the papers.
For the sponsorship, once you receive all the papers and client id number you have to provide them all the requested documents to the respective countries office within specified time period mentioned on the papers with client id.
