I am a Canadian citizen. My wife is a filipina who has almost completed the process for her pr. (Medical is complete) Hopefully it will be soon. We are temporarily living in the Philippines until my wife gets her paper. Sadly, my wife´s neiece , who is 14 yr old, recently lost both her parents tragically. We would like to bring her to Canada with us. What papers do we need to expedite this process? Any advice would be greatly appreciate.

you will have to wait until you both get to Canada to begin the process but while you are there, do whatever you can to secure legal documents that would clear the way for a Canadian adoption.

any other way would likely involve withdrawing the sponsorship, adoption, and then a new application because of the change in family make up. It is not just a matter of adding a new name to the application.

wish there was an easier way. Maybe Roy or Doc have some brilliant thoughts (they usually do)
