Releasing Tamil's CBSA

  To All

Canada Border Service Agency and Citizenship and Immigration Canada knew for several weeks that a ship with Tamil´s were going to arrive in Canada.

Once a person makes a Refugee claim in Canada they can be detained for three reasons.

1. Danger to the Public,
2. Unlikely to appear,
3. Identity.

The Canada Border Service Agency knew well in advance that this ship was going to arrive. CBSA should have arranged for additional staff to assist with the verification of identity documents. Leaving women and children in detention just to establish ones identity is clearly a deprivation of liberty.

Not being biased, and with all due resppect.....CBSA knew well in advance that the organizers of the infamous trip were planning in advance, and delibrately, to abuse the system in Canada. I think it is the right time for Canada to change their refugee rules. Although it shouldn´t be an excuse, abusing of the system is the reason why I see Canada as the most horrible destination, all over the globe, when someone arrives to Cnd airports and POEs

Is it true that more of these ships are on their way? Soon, CIC won´t need quotas if ppl keep arriving like this, by the shiploads! somewhat like the way they showed up at these shores during the Euro raid on North America! LOL

Question
(in reply to: Releasing Tamil's CBSA)
I wouldn´t care about refugees who came here illegaly..they don´t deserve to be treated respectfully..Their suffering will go on for ever..CBSA has the right not to treat them as it should be because they have abused the system...

I do care about those who came to this country legally and went through all the steps that the system mandates and then to be treated disrespectfully or unfairly...

That is exactly my point.

I know (personally) people who misrepresented to the system with and immigration officials were fully aware. Why should I bother and report, if officials were covering up!!!?? Those same people were successfuly able to bring their parents and relatives to the generous tax system. This happens while Cnd and non Cnds are receiving harsh treatment at airports and POE by Customs and Immigration Officers. While Canada claims to be the best country in the country, this country sucks and will suffer in long term

Did somebody ask you to give news about Tamils? or did you get bored again and wanted to socialize since you have no life??? So what is next ? ..What about talking about first nations and their sufferings? or maple syroup? mmmm some research says that those who have an ass glued to the computer might have some mental and phsical issues, what about talking about that ??? Just curiousity, are you single? feeling lonely ? Over 50? and overweight ? again research says such people who spend most of their time in front of the computer for sure should get some help from experts!!!!

if someone was to risk their lives to come here, then i think we should allow them to stay

WHOA

Focus on the issue people.

We have a Refugee System because some people deserve compassion.

We have a Refugee System that allows an opportunity for claimants to stay until their claim to be heard.

It is always better to allow a person to be heard before sending them back if their life is at risk.

Lets not forget 90% of Tamil´s are successful in their refugee claims.

If 90% of Tamil Refugee claimants are successful why does CBSA (fight) to keep women and children in detention?

Mr. Salmon you disagree with the courts of Canada on both points then. Deprivation of liberty is okay and returning those that come by ship and not plane is okay.

Now lets see the next time (you) get caught for speeding it is okay to lock you up for three weeks and never take you before a court of Law because the Police are the Law????

Locking up all speeders for three weeks and refusing to allow them to have contact with friends or family that is how I see my Canada. NOT!
