Hello.
I will have my medical check-up soon. About a month ago I was hospitalized with a certain medical condition which caused a lot of stress. During the hospitalization I saw a psychiatrist who diagnosed me with "Major Depressive syndrome". The medical condition turned out to be minor.
My GP doesn´t have this hospitalization info.
I´m wondering whether I should mention this depression thing to the DGP at the check-up?
Can the DGP or the Medical officer dig out the depression thing from the hospital records?
And can depression of the main applicant lead to medical inadmissibility?

Probably not (in reply to: Medical Check-up issue) I can´t be sure, but most countries would not allow anyone to check on your medical file without a written authorization or something equal. It is protected by the law for your privacy, and there is a reason for that. Only your actual doctor or the ones who treated you in the past should be able to access it. IF for whatever reason, they did manage to get in and see that record, you can always claim that the diagnosis was actually wrong, so there was no need to mention anything. I can share your feelings, because I actually went through the exact same thing.
Relax, you´ll be fine. Post again if you receive any answer from them!
