My wife (PR) and I (born Canadian) want to adopt her orphaned 15 yr.old niece. We want her to be with us in Canada. We have started the adoption process in the Philippines and that process should be completed soon. Is there any way our niece can be with us while her application to immigrate is in process? She is living with her sickly 85 year old grandmother and although Lola is doing her very best; obviously the child would be better off with us.We obviously do not want her to stay in the Philippines for another year while her papers are being processed Any suggestions? Thank you
