Subject: Inland Spousal Sponsorship Interview
My wife and I finally received a notice from immigrations informing us that our interview is scheduled, more then a year after the initial application was received.

I am wondering if anyone knows a rough average for how long these interviews take? I know there are a lot of groups involved (Immigration, Boarder Services, Service Canada, an intermediate ect) which can add a lot of complications, however I need to book time off of work. Since the process was expensive, my wife could not work for many months I don´t really want to take more time off then I need to.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I love these people who "I KNOW" there are a lot of groups involved in a Spousal Sponsorship.

You know what? LOL

Service Canada is going to ask your wife who showered first this morning!

CBSA will ask you what brand of TV is in your living room!

Immigration will ask what type of contraceptive are you two using since your not trying to conceive!

You need to book time off for your spousal sponsorship interview to prove your relationship is genuine and YOU KNOW! LOL

That is why CIC sent your spousal sponsorship to the local office for an interview because YOU KNOW what was required to prove you genuine marriage.

You made my day with your humour!

wow, someone pee´d in Bill´s cornflakes this morning. Howie´s post is outrageous, obviously impatient, and in no way concerned about proving his case - only interested in the wasting of his time. That attitude will get him absolutely nowhere.

Roy is historically the champion of the downtrodden so when he smells a snake, he is usually right.

Bill

So you married the woman of your dreams and did not think she was worth it to pay someone for advice with your Spousal Sponsorship.

Since you claim that your wife could not work for many months your application had to be submitted IN CANADA unlike the way it should of been submitted.

If you invited her to Canada with the intention of submitting a spousal sponsorship you LIED in your invitation letter.

If your wife came with the intention of marrying you and submitting an IN CANADA Spousal Sponsorship she LIED at the Port of Entry.

1. Me behave not likely when it is YOUR obligation to know what is required to prove a genuine marriage and you are so pushy to get your wife to the front of the line by submitting in Canada you ruin everything.

2. I have never claimed to be an expert! Nope not me. I never claimed that "I KNOW"!!!!

3. Well that was polite Bill instead of accussing me of scratching some other body parts.

Dearest Bill I solve HUGE messes like your DIY Spousal Sponsorship and other issues far more complicated but I do not hold hands while giving potential clients a cup of tea with crumpets.

YES your ignorant and lacking in knowledge but BILL this is your marriage your screwing up. Come on your ignorance is so HUGE it is laughable, can´t you see that!

Bill understand something I do not advertise and 98% of my buisiness is referrals from previous clients.

When it comes to Immigration problems my clients care about one thing WILL I WIN THEIR CASE!

Probably!

Since you are Doing It Yourself should you have researched better what is required to prove a genuine marriage?

Howie not Bill.

One more question for you Bill.

Why are you defending Howie who only cares how long a marriage interview instead of asking what questions would be asked?

Joanne,

Who will help you on the internet?

Professional immigration practitioners help for money and non-pros on the net just offer the usual mixed bag of facts and fiction.

By the way Roy´s response may be perceived as arrogant, but when you are a professional immigration consultant and encounter, on a daily basis, dummies who tried to save $2000-3000 and end up causing themselves greater harm than the savings´ worth you get frikkin annoyed:

a. I didn´t make money on your case
b. You (the DIY applicant) left yourself to your own devices and effed up

everyone loses when everyone could have been a winner.
So again, as a professional practitioner you hate dummy DIY applicants.
