Hello Roy / Bill / Sharon,
I entered the US on a B1/B2 visa and overstayed. I then met a Canadian girl at work and we fell in love with each other. Since we couldn´t live apart, I crossed the Canadian border and entered Canada illegally. If we marry each other in Canada and if she sponsors me, can the entire process be done while I am in Canada or would I need to return to my home country for an interview ?
As I understand, if one entered the US illegally and married his/her spouse there would be a 10 year bar. Does Canada have a simlar bar ?
Thanks for your advise.

(in reply to: ENTERED CANADA ILLEGALLY) Exclusion order.
It´s a bar from entering the country from 2 to 5 years.
Authorization to return to Canada (ARC) may be required.
The ones in this forum normally do not recommend inland spousal sponsorship since it takes longer and has no appeal if refused.

Entered Canada Illegally (in reply to: ENTERED CANADA ILLEGALLY) Hello,
I enter Canada illegally to seek refuge from the USA, I have a B1/B2 visa. I have two questions:
-If my request is denied refuge, rotted return as skilled worker? would have to wait a few years of punishment? I have a daughter in Canada.
-My American visa is affected? Canada´s reports to the U.S.?.
