Michelle

You should worry about what addresses you wrote the first time compared to the second time you gave them addressses!

This is a far better approach then worrying about the time it will take to approve you, if they will approve you.

When someone in authority asks a question that they already have an answer for everyone should ask, WHY ARE THEY ASKING ME THAT!

and Roy i know what i wrote in my application.and why should i worry about the addresses? immigration make it complicated even its just so simple. and you told everyone that we have to prove that our marriage is genuine... first of all, since they are the expert to know what they are doing.. why do we have to prove it? cant we just live a normal life as a couple while the application is being processed? why are you telling everyone to exert extra effort to prove their marriage is not genuine... if the immigration accused that a certain marriage is a bogus which is not true..then who do you think has a problem?

Well, Michelle, with an attitude like that you are marching head on into a refused application.

With CIC you are single and disallowed until you PROVE otherwise. It is YOUR job to make your case that 1) the Canadian is eligible to sponsor 2) that the foreign applicant has legitimate ties to the Canadian and 3) that the applicant is not disqualified from entering Canada.

What you know and think is irrelevant. So be sure, CIC has zero problem. They simply say no to everyone unless they are convinced otherwise. It is not their moral or legal obligation to say yes.

ouch! it means i have the result from you already which is NOT APPROVED. i have a friend they have been married for 5 years and they were accused when got here that their marriage was a bogus..they got 5 kids... so can you pls explain to me what happened in that situation? i have read some of articles about immigration being not satisfied that their marriage was genuine. my point is do not over analyze how immigration works. PLUS you do not understand the entire situation before you gave your advise. You should have at least ask what my status is here right now... dont worry my husband is for sure an eligible sponsor and i am legal here in canada until 2012.

Michelle,

I think that the point here, is that it doesn´t matter if you have no kids or 20 kids with your husband, that alone does not make the marriage genuine.

It is UP to the applicant to prove that their relationship is genuine, CIC is not going to asume or think really hard about the whole thing, CIC will make a decision based on the evidence that is available for them to see.

If they receive evidence that needs further clarification then they will call the person in for an interview.

Whether the applicant likes it or not, CIC is in the driver´s seat and you got to play by their rules, it is not all the way around.

Now, let´s break up your last sentence.
"dont worry my husband is for sure an eligible sponsor and i am legal here in canada until 2012".

1- I don´t think anyone here is worried about your personal situation.
2- A person who flips burgers for leaving and with tons of debt (no bankruptcy) and no undertaking and without a criminal conviction is also an elegible sponsor, it doesn´t take much to be one.
3- Legal until 2012, is not even relevant.

My point is... you´re still have to prove that you are in a genuine relationship, PERIOD.
If you fail to prove it, you are going to lose that one, not them.

ok.... what is a genuine marriage for you? and how will you prove if the marriage is genuine...

-strings of emails/letter etc that show the development of the relationship
-plane tickets, cards, photos that cannot be staged (wedding pictures can be staged and often are)
-logical fit around culture, religion, age, education and if there is not a logical fit... a good explanation of why and how it it works
- affidavits of family and friends
-if it goes to interview - knowledge of things most people would not know. perfume, what side of the bed they sleep on, where is the dresser in the bedroom, what is their favourite flavour of ice cream. Sibling names.

how do you prove someone commits a murder - a body of evidence. how do you prove a relationship is genuine and enduring - a body of evidence.

now do you get it?
