Hi, I want to sponsor my stepfather. I have read somewhere that if I don´t have any family members anymore and live here alone, I can sponsor any relative. but my mom has died this year, and without her I´m not sure if the law will see my step-dad as relative, or just as some man who was married to my mom.
About if i was adopted, I don´t think he filled any paperwork for it, thought adoption comes automatically with he got married with my mom.

Some people might not understand it, but when person raises you from 3y.o., you feel like he is a dad. So to forget isnt an option.

if there is no legal adoption, there may be some provision under Humanitarian Grounds, especially if he has not other family in his home country.
