Subject: Children Are Canadians, Can Me & My Wife Apply? |
|
|
|
Hi, My father-in-law had applied for Canadian Immigration as an entrepreneur many years back and subsequently my wife was a Permanent Resident, and delivered both our children in Canada (ages 4 and 2 years). My father-in-laws citizenship has been denied and I fear my wife will also have to surrender her PR card.
I would like to know if there are any grounds on which we (me and my wife) can apply for immigration considering both are children are Canadians.
Thanks

(in reply to: Children Are Canadians, Can Me & My Wife Apply?) when they are 19 and living in Canada they can sponsor you.
you have absolutely no intention of living in Canada so why play the game.

(in reply to: Children Are Canadians, Can Me & My Wife Apply?) why have you not fulfilled your residency obligations?

(in reply to: Children Are Canadians, Can Me & My Wife Apply?) My wife has, but my father-in law is the primary applicant and he could not due to various reasons.
my wife has sponsored me, but my case is on hold pending decision of my father-in laws case....its complicated and extremely frustrating

This last paragraph doesn´t make any sense. Unless his PR is going to be revoked due to misrepresentation and the officer is writing a report 44(a) and now CIC is coming after him and his dependants.
hmmmmm......
There is something else but I am not going to guess.
The answer is no, your children may sponsor you when they turned 19yrs old as being said, as long as the law doesn´t change.

(in reply to: Children Are Canadians, Can Me & My Wife Apply?) The daughter is obviously an adult (to have a husband and make babies and so forth)... can CIC revoke her PR? if she does not have any criminal record?
