  To All

When you are seeking quality Immigration advice the price is always an issue. You need to know that the firm working on your case are experienced in your personal area of concern. Again I will say get references let the representative you select prove that they provide quality service for an average price.

SHOP AROUND AND COMPARE! MOST AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES WILL PROVIDE FREE CONSULTATIONS FOR MOST AREAS OF YOUR CONCERNS!

Lawyers are usually more expensive then certified consultants but that does not make them better or worse. The bigger the Firm the more likely that some employee will be assigned to your file and only be supervised. Both Consultants and Lawyers have error and omission insurance.

Would you hire a Electrician to repair your car?
Would you hire a Auto Mechanic to renovate your house?

NOW BACK TO THE PRICE*********

If the price is too low ---- BUYER BEWARE!
If the price is too high ---- BUYER BEWARE!

Today I saw an advertisement in a free newspaper in Toronto which stated prices.

Now it stated the following;

ALL APPEALS $999.00
SPOUSAL vISA $899.00
VISTOR VISA $799.00

NO NAME ---- which is a requirement of CSIC & LSUC but just a phone number.

Was I upset at this advertisement, YES! But not for the prices but it appears illogical, wrong and misleading.

The advert said that they are a CSIC Member and a Member of the LSUC probably a paralegal.

WHY WOULD ANYONE PAY $799.00 FOR A VISITOR VISA INVITATION LETTER?

WHY WOULD ANYONE PAY $899.00 FOR A SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP APPLICATION AND BELIEVE THE MAN/WOMAN OF THEIR DREEAMS WILL BE SLEEPING UNDER THE SAME ROOF AS THEM ANY TIME SOON?

WHY WOULD ANYONE PAY $999.00 ONLY FOR A SPOUSAL OR REMOVAL APPEAL AND BELIEVE EVERYTHING WAS GOING TO BE (A) OKAY?

Visitor visa application should be far, far less and a Spousal Sponsorship should be more and lets not talk about the retainer for an appeal, whether it is a removal appeal or a spousal appeal!

SHOP AROUND PEOPLE AND GET REFERENCES, COMPARE PRICES.

To Roy,

Perphaps you can tell us how much you charge for those visas you´ve mentioned so that we can all used it as a base price. You might argue you charge higher for quality advice but honesty, it´s hard to differentiate.

As for your comparison with lawyers and certified consultants, I think you are a bit bias with obvious reason. There are lots of lawyers specialised in immigrations cases who charge reasonable prices.

Would you go to authorized dealers to repair your brand new car OR would you go to a old neighbourhood repair shop (who probably self-taught their auto repair skill) for repair?

I´ve to agreed to your last comment "SHOP AROUND PEOPLE AND GET REFERENCES, COMPARE PRICES" - There is a law firm Abrams Krochak that gurantee success or your money back. I´ve friends who signed up with them and in one of their agreement, they gurantee money back. Just to name one of the better lawyers

WOW Amir

Business so slow that you post your prices instead of commenting on the issue of the thread?

Two years ago a LSUC Immigration Specialist that had their offices at 74 Victoria Street was charging $6,000.00 for a FSW. Search the Metro articles it is in there.

The issue here is $999.00 for an appeal is extremely too low and what I charged the client yesterday that gave me fraudulent evidence to prove her marriage was genuine was a HUGE MISTAKE. I believed her sweet little smile and story!

I definately don´t review forms others have completed because the amount of time one spends reviewing something is insufficent for what any authorized representative could charge.

The client gets refused and they complain because you (reviewed) worked on the file. Not worth the risk.

Many Immigration Consultants feel they are over charged to be authorized to provide Immigration advice so they are far more reasonable than Law Firms. Doesn´t mean their better or worse just most times cheaper.

What ever you do before you retain anyone, shop around get at least two other quotes and three references.

IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, RUN!!!!!

To Roy:

I know one guy from the US who used Abrams Krochak for his skilled class application was charged 1500 US$ for the entire process + any application fees to CIC. That was about 4 years ago. Do you think they increased their fee by that much since then? If they did, it sounds excessive!!

Hey Roy,

Not slow but I moved to a new office at Yonge/St. Clair and my dad came for a visit from overseas so I was basically a taxi driver/tourist guide for a couple of weeks and not an immigration consultant.

You are right about the fee for the appeal.

But I think some of the established law firms don´t charge more than CAD$2,000-2,500 for FSW case. They have this whole auto-pilot setup where they are trying to do volume and provide substandard service. They will issue refunds to meet the money back promise but if you have some real issues that need to be addressed they are the wrong people to hire.
