well it is pretty hard...I did well because I was born and educated here. I got a few questions wrong on practice tests..no studying. I am a high school teacher so I did expect to do well. My students would not do well and would have to study a lot. One must get 80% to pass. There are some tricky questions but I think I take for granted what I know merely by being a citizen. I cannot imagine if one is ESL...many questions were based on "candian lingo" that is hard to explain to a foreigner.

If you were born and educated in Canada, why did you write the citizenship exam? That doesn´t make any sense.

You can´t imagine an ESL person passing the test? You seem to have very limited experiences as a teacher. There have been, there are and there will be thousands of ESL canadians who passed the test succesfully.

...nut also many immigrants do not give it the appropriate importance. They expect it to be easier so they relax... and fail.
But don;t worry, Mammy Canada will take care of these guys by making it easier.

You study the materials the want you to study and period. It is not a rocket science test at all.
