Blessed day to all!

I am a spouse of a current temporary foreign worker in British Columbia. He is turning 9months this december 2010 with his present employment. Supposedly, he can start applying for his
employer driven provincial nomination as a process to his permanent residency application. However because he didnt meet the wage requirement for a semi-skilled pilot project of the BCPNP, he did not carried it out.

His employer then told him that he may opt to apply using the federal skilled worker program, but then again, he was refused to submit his application due to failure in educational requirement. Sadly, years ago, he wasnt able to finish his bachelor´s degree back here in the Philippines.

Presently, we´re seeking other options as to how we could still maximize the privilege that my husband had when he landed a job there in British Columbia Canada (which unfortunately hasnt materialized due to the above stated reasons). And one alternative that we have thought of is that I together with our son, should apply for an independent permanent residency application using the federal skilled worker program here in the Philippines. We understand that there are still these factors that we should consider. I have just these questions in my mind: 1) Is my 14-months full time paid work experience qualify me for the application? 2) How can i obtain an arranged employment? 3)Does arranged employment waive the requirement for the proof of funds in my application?

Upon reading your other thread, we have come to think through if i may as well apply for an open work permit. But my question is how about our son, is it possible that i apply for an open work permit and our son for a student visa, if in case we just go for this option, instead of pursuing my federal skilled worker option for pr application?

Pls advise us as to what we should do. We dearly miss each other and we believe that being together as a family makes us more competent in our workplace.

Thank you very much in advance. God bless.
