Outland applications processed in Mexico are around 16 months including the sponsorship application.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp

Inland applications usually take longer than that.
Here, read the Inland Processing Manual, get familiar with it.

Even if you apply outside of Canada, download the proper Outland Processing Manual and read it!

Thanks DocD, I´m going to look in to it.

By the way, my wife just got a letter from CIC is about the sponsorship application.

What I don´t understand is why the sent us the same forms we already submitted more than a year and a half ago. They sent us the same forms but blank forms. The letter also came with a different identification number. Her client id used to be the same as her failed refugee claim, now is a different number.

I´m confused, Should we re-fill out the applications forms as we did a year and a half ago? Or shoul we ignored them and tell CIC that we already submitted them, perphaps we should just send them new pictures and copy of new joint bills?

This is the tet of the letter she received today:

The dreadful paperwork (in reply to: To Adan)
Diary, letters, Googling, phonecalls (local & oversea), driving and running around....photocopies, faxes, banks, consulates, visits to the law office and the GTEC on the reporting date and interviews....

Money and waiting games.

Welcome to the real world! Bon Courage, Adan.

What I said was you need to come in and seek advice in person. Do not let DocD tell you what I said! Please.

Okay another story Harry and his wife went to Etobicoke CIC for a marriage interview yesterday morning at eight. Harry and his wife have both been married before and married after they both got divorced.

Harry had stayed married to his ex-wife even though they split up about a year and a half after marriage but never actually divorced until five years from the date of their marriage. Harry has been called to the PRRA and has an H&C that I am assisting with.

Harry thought he and his wife would be questioned about both of their previous marriages and kept saying what if they ask this, what if they ask that, what about this, and what should I say if......

Harry and his wife were called in TOGETHER and asked to show the papers to prove they have joined their assests. Harry showed his home ownership papers that listed his wife, his joint credit card bills, the cable that is in his wifes name, the water and gas bills in his name, their joint accounts etc.

The Officer said wait here while I make copies. See Harry forgot to make copies of the originals.

The Officer came back and said okay you two can go you will get your answer in about two weeks.

Then I showed up LATE due to terrible traffic that didn´t care that Harry was all stressed out and Harry asked are we approved or refused, why did the Officer not tell us anything, should I worry or be happy?

When you have lots of well prepared documentary evidence there is little reasons to ask further questions that you ask day after day after day.

Adan I said this, without all the details no one can give you quality advice. You need to go visit three or four representatives and see which one can get details right from CIC OR CBSA as to whether or not your wife has abused the system so much that someone has said Public Policy regarding In Canada application does not suit her.

Then and only then should you withdraw your In Land and apply Overseas. If they are going to consider your In Canada Spousal hire someone to give you quality advice on how to better prove your marriage. Harry did and now we KNOW he was successful!

DO YOU UNDERSTAND??????

I agree with SG (in reply to: To Adan)
Otherwise, Roy is just money grab, like any other Immigration consultants. They need to make a living, eh? Thus they´ll tell you that your case is more complicated that really is, so you go back for more appointments with them, which obviously will cost you money.

Don´t trust immigration lawyers (or any lawyer) or consultants or whatever they call themselves. They just want your money. But if you insist and have too much money, go ahead and good luck.
