How long it takes to get file number.I applied in Oct 04 but havent received the file number yet.

Are u sure they have received your application ? Otherwise, you may have to send them a fax. In my opinion it is too late, but you may prefer to wait till end of this month.

Don´t worry ..people who applied in sept are getting it.You will get it next month.Nowdays it is taking 3-4 months for the AOR to come.Just check with your bank about status of your cheque or draft that you sent to CIC

They have received my file number because the application fees has been cashed as i checked with my bank. Could you please tell me which fax number shuld i send to.

if they have cashed your cheque, sit back and be patient. Your application has arrived in Buffalo and is working its way through the slow process called immigration. Do not call or fax them... all it does is make someone stop what they are doing (someone elses file) to tell you ´your file is in process´. 9 chances out of 10 they will not reply anyway which will make you even more crazy. Your AOR with your file number should arrive shortly.
