My spouse went for an interview re spousal sponsorship. She was previously in Canada & ordered removed. She left when told to do so but the ticket was purchased by the Canadian Immigration. We agreed for them to do so.

After the interview today(outland)she was told to pay $1900 for ticket repayment & ARC & send a letter why she wants to come back to Canada.

1. Does this mean that the sponsorship has gone through

2. How long will it take for the ARC to be processed ( The visa office is Trinidad)

Thanks for your answer

Port of Spain still have to communicate with the local CBSA Office that removed her to see if they have objections to allowing her to return.

Removal costs is $1,500.00 and the ARC is $400.00 which means they found your marriage to be genuine.

Congradulations.

I suggest you follow http://www.cvimmigration.com/authorization-to-return-to-canada.html and focus on the first five points!

Make sure your spouse says sorry!

Very Canadian even if it was not her fault.

Good Luck

Thank You Roy,

I hope everything goes well and the ARC is granted so we can be together soon. God is good and really answers prayers.

Immigration question (in reply to: My spouse went for an interview re spousal sp...)
I am going to sponsor my soon to be husband in the new year 2012. I am a cdn. citizen and wanted to know if my bad credit will play a factor in him not being allowed to be sponsored. Also, he lived in Cda. approx. 22 years ago with his 1st wife (since divorced) and had one child (only child) born here. He did return to Trinidad after a couple of years by choice. Two years ago he applied for a Cdn. visa and was refused - the reason being is that he over stayed when he was here 22 years ago - do you see that being a problem as well?

ARC (in reply to: My spouse went for an interview re spousal sp...)
Hey Donald i read your post am in the same situation am a failed refugee claimant also, who as been married and is been filed for outside Cdn,can you guide me,how long did it take for your wife to get her interview? My kids are also on the filing we did our medical last July which is 2012,My Husband got a letter in August stating that the application as been approved and that our package has been sent to the nearest visa office in my country which is Jamaica. This ARC thing is confusing because some people say you may not request one while some say you will,i didnt accept the offer for them to purchase my ticket,my husband purchase it,i got a date to leave CDN, i leave on the exact date, when i read on the immgration website about ARC this is what it stated. If you received a Departure Order and
•left Canada within the required 30 days and
•verified your departure with a Canadian immigration officer at the port of exit

you do not need an ARC. You may return to Canada subject to normal examination at the port of entry.

b) If you left the country without verifying your departure, or more than 30 days after the Departure Order was issued, the Departure Order automatically becomes a Deportation Order and you need to apply for an ARC (see point 3 below
And thats what i did i verify my depature with a Canadian officer,so do i still need a ARC.

Hi Roy,
I would like to know why she should say sorry for her ARC application. Does she have to say sorry on the letter to explain why she want to return to canada?
Thank you and hope to get an answer

I am in Canada and my wife is in St Lucia. We go through we everything but we are just waiting for her to get her interview in Trinidad. My question is how long does it take, it´s already been a month now. I emailed Trinidad immigration a few post cards from my wife, and i sent them a few emails to show proof that my wife stay in contact daily, my wife also sent them postcards, western union receipts and more to prove to them that we communicate several times a day. When will the call her for her interview, it´s already been a month.
