| Subject: IELTS Requirement for CIC |

I am in US last 4 years and originally from INDIA.
I would like to know if IELTS exam is required to prove the Points.
I have submitted letter from Employer stating that our language of business is English.
Also I have studied in English language throuout.
How much time CIC gives if asked to give the exam?

If you are so sure of your English knowledge, give a written explanation, how much you are proficient in all the 4 aspects of the English language, viz, reading, writing, listening and speaking. Attach supporting documents to prove what you have written.
Time to brush up your essay writing skills!!!!!!!

Hi Kumar,
If you can provide the documental evidence of your language profficiency then IELTS is not required.
Practically, you have advantage of taking IELTS - once you earn good bends you don´t have to worry much! Whereas, if you rely upon the documentation to avoid IELTS then its a risky business! Nobody is sure about securing points. You would only come to know when you are picked up for the interview.
I would rather take IELTS then take pains.
There is no specific stage of submitting IELTS results, but it is definitely a decider in the initial assesment for the interview waiver. Though, one should not forget that lot of other parameters also considered for interview waiver.
Just my opinion.

Dear Sir,
I have applied immigration of canada in year 2001.I submitted IELTS in year dec.2003.So pl.advise me,that Ielts result is both for current & former immigration policy or only for current immigration policy.
