Subject: Family Sponsorship - Aunt Abroad with no Family
I would like to sponsor my Aunt in Hong Kong for immigration to Canada within the Family Class.

I am an eligible to sponsor a relative, but from what I have read on th CIC website, I cannot sponsor an aunt.

My Aunt is in her sixties and widowed with no children. Therefore, she has no immediate family to care for her. 6 of her 7 brothers and sisters live in Canada. She would have a strong support system in Canada with 6 brother and sisters (5 which are younger brothers and sisters), 6 brother and sister-in-laws, and 14 nieces and nephews.

The fact that she has no family and only 1 older brother in Hong Kong, would I be able to sponsor her for immigration to Canada within the Family Class. Please advise how I would go about sponsoring my Aunt.

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.
