I believe this Immigration Officer is the Officer who was in charge of the In-Canada Spousal Interviews at Etobicoke CIC. He is the only George I know.
One of my clients two days ago was just approved by a George so where does that leave my client. Not feeling to comfortable this morning.

(in reply to: In-Land Spousal Officer Investigated) I believe all cases with him will be reassigned. Maybe a little delay but I figure that CIC will be interested in seeing the trend of his cases as soon as possible. Take heart. Good to see you´re so attached to your clients´ cases.
Cheers,

(in reply to: In-Land Spousal Officer Investigated) My concern is that many genuine marriages that have already been approved will take years to process to stage two and landing.

(in reply to: In-Land Spousal Officer Investigated) I hit this button to quick, I was saying that previous applications may be investigated but I don´t think CIC will revoke or cancelled previous decisions that are already made.

(in reply to: In-Land Spousal Officer Investigated) You defend CBSA or CIC no matter what DocD, why?
Granted this CIC Officer has not been found guilty yet but.....the powers to be had to investigating him for a certain period of time before they acted.
The story says they went after his computer and his cell phone records which implies there must be more than the three mentioned. That means it would not be advissable to land any stage one marriages he approved then go after them to take their status away.
I can see nothing other than these people seeing on e-cas regarding their files IN PROCESS for years(s) to come!

(in reply to: In-Land Spousal Officer Investigated) I am not defending anything. I am giving my opinion based on the information that is available for me to see.
Your concern is that your clients status may be revoked or applications cancelled and/or delayed.
The delay will be based on CIC/CBSA making sure that the applicants didn´t try to "buy" the decision.
This type of crime works both ways Roy, the officer that accepts money as a payment for a decision is just as guilty as the person who agrees to make the payment.

(in reply to: In-Land Spousal Officer Investigated) DocD
Your seeing things only from one angle!
The delay will be based on considering if the Officer got paid to approve certain clients cases not assessing the applicants!!!!
Without the Officer offering his approval for sale (if that ever happened) there is zero chance someone can gain a benefit under the act without him seeking payment for services to be rendered.
CIC Investigators and the Police will be looking into every single case he ever approved and has yet to be Landed stage two.

(in reply to: In-Land Spousal Officer Investigated) take a deep breath boys. I don´t think anyone will know what´s going to happen until it actually happens. It is great to have both of you on this forum. Centre field from both end zones often looks very different. It is really nice to have both perspectives.
