Subject: False claim to IRB
My husband has a child with another woman prior to our marriage. He was removed from Canada in April 2009 This woman filed refugee once & was turned down. She has filed again & had a hearing recently. I heard that this time she is claiming fear of returning home because of my husband (her child´s father). I heard this through the grapevine (so to speak). How can I notify the IRB board tso that this is taken into account & that my husband´s name is not tarnished. The sponsorship of my husband is well underway & I need to know what to do. I am considering writing a letter to the IRB board & deliverying it tomorrow. Will this be of any use. I understand that the decision of her case will be delivered within a week

I am concerned that my husband´s name is not tarnished & this becomes a stumbling block when requesting the Authorization to return. I am also sick of people using the Immigration system by making up stories and jeopardizing the lives of others. Please for a response & Thanks allas to how I should proceed. What will happen when I report this in relation to both the refugee claim & the spousal application?

Distressed cute name....

Now as I understand it your going to complain about something that you do not know is a fact.

Your convinced that there are space men living amongst us because Sally told you it is true!

Okay rediculous but hopefully you get the point.

Now are you being played?

Is someone telling you this to get you upset and then sit back and laugh!

Or worse is their a possibility that this alledged story is true?

Please understand what the IRB knows and what Immigration knows is two very different things.

So if your husband requires an ARC he was a perfect little angel while in Canada?????

Your husband lies to CIC, IRB, etc. were not as grand so that makes a huge difference to you???

I am all for complaining when one has been clearly wronged but to keep quiet when the facts are not known.

Hi Roy,

Thanks for your response however it is a bit vague. Can you be clearer.

I understand you saying I do not have all the facts that is true.

However based on the information I have and the source I have reason to believe that this is credible. The only way to ensure is to investigate. So how would I get it investigated if I do nothing? I do not understand that.

2.Please understand what the IRB knows and what Immigration knows is two very different things. - What does this mean do they not share information & files?

3.So if your husband requires an ARC he was a perfect little angel while in Canada????? Why are you being cynical-The fact that a person overstayed & was deported does that make them a criminal? - The last time I checked there were no angels living on this earth (not even you Roy)

4.Your husband lies to CIC, IRB, etc. were not as grand so that makes a huge difference to you??? - This statement is so out of line Roy you are making assumptions that my husband lied to CIC/IRB you do not know that. Are you saying it is ok to lie to CIC/IRB just make sure it is grand enough to believe. I thought we should ensure that liars are not rewarded.

My basic question is if false allegations are made to IRB to grant a refugee claim using someones name

1. What can the falsely named person do about it

2. How will this affect spousal application for which an ARC is required.

Can someone please answer these questions

Thanks

People who overstay in Canada are not deported!

People who come to Canada and make a Refugee claim and don´t leave right after they receive a negative RPD decision they are deported.

People who overstay and apply for an extension of their status get refused and don´t leave are deported.

A visitor that overstays six years and gets caught is excluded for one year only.

My question to you is why do you want to bring attention to your husband when it is not necessary? You throw dirt and they will throw dirt back and CIC will think the two of them are both wrong regardless of the facts.

FACTS which you don´t have any! Get it!!!!

I now understand you Roy

One final question does that mean the Decision at the IRB hearing will have no impact on the falsely accused for immigration purposes or are you implying that it may go unnoticed. But what if it does then what is the recourse

you have to ride this one out- stop trying to control it or predict it. The more you attempt to get involved and FIX it, the worse it could get.

Thanks Sharon & Roy so much for your frank responses & for shedding some light on this situation for me. I will just leave all at this point in God´s hands.

It is just that it amazes me the lengths that people will go to just stay in this country called Canada. They will trample over peolpe & even sell their souls....That is just too bad & I guess it is impossible for CIC or IRB to get it all right. At the end of the day they have to live with their conscience
