hello,
i really dont know anything about immigration, and it all seems so delicate. my wife and i will be applying for pr status (i am canadian living in canada) but we have not begun the process which i hear could take upto a year. but in may we would like to meet up in canada and look at some houses in order to get ready for her permenant move here. but i would like her to apply for a visitor visa in order to come here in may. would that not work if we have an immigration application going at the same time? i dont want to ruin anything just for a small 3 week trip? please and thank you, i know it is probably confusing, i confused myself while typing this :) thanks

(in reply to: i need some help please!) it will be a challenge to obtain a visitor visa for your wife. Too many spouses forget to go home at the end of their ´visit´ so CIC usually says no.

(in reply to: i need some help please!) thank you for your reply Sharon. do you think if i apply for the visitor visa right before the PR we would still be able to use the visitor one down the road ? or would it automaticaly void as soon as an application for pr is in place ?
