  hi everyone,

i got married feb 03, while the process of my husband he landed august 03 but the problem that he got scared to change the marital status, after his landing he went back to UAE, dubai where he had a work contract
now he got a nice job in canada
now i have 2 questions:
1- is it going to be a problem when he file to sponser us(we got a baby on dec 03) cuz the marriage before landing when he landed as single?
2- can he file us for visit visa before processing our file so we can do it from within?

note: we r egyptian, and now i am in egypt with the baby but i still have the UAE residency
i asked a consultant here in egypt and he said that we might be refused and if not it will take a year and half which will be too long
can anyone help?
i am going crazy here and i do not know what to do
i really need to hear good news :)

Not really sure what you mean; however with what I gather need to know when did your husband file for immigration?
Was it before marriage or after marriage?

If the marriage happened after the filing; then it may be possible for him to now sponsor you and the baby.

It would have been wrong if he filed when married and showed not married; then it is like providing false statements.

However to make sure please consult a consultant and this time one from Canada - for a second opnion. Cohen and Cohen can be your best bet. He has a good record for immigrant cases.

thanks everyone
Garbador u were asking for more details so to clarify the situation,
my husband filed for the immigration before we get married and he did the medical and everything before getting married, he got the approval and the visa after marriage, but there was not time to change the marital status since he was traveling a lot in his work, he had short time just to land before the visa get expereid cuz he got the approval almost 6 month from the medical, i remember he even had hard time to get a 10 days vacation from work to do the landing
and between his work and my pregnancy and the new baby we got to busy even to think about it till he got this great job opportunity in canada
i do not know how it will go now, i sent him the lawyer contact u gave me and i hope it will go smooth
thanks
