Where do the documents go?

Subject: Where do the documents go?
When you go for your medicals in your country, where are the results sent to exactly?
It is my current understanding that they are sent to the Canadian embassy of your country. Is this correct? Are they sent anywhere else?

If they are sent to the Canadian embassy, is a new file created for you under "pending immigration" or something like that?

If a file is created for you such as the above, would the department handling this have knowledge of any other current visa applications in progress or recently issued?

TIA

Hi Mark,

You are right, the medical results will be sent to CHC office in applicant´s country. I dont believe they are sent to any other place than Immigration Section, CHC (Country of applicant)

Hope this helps.

Best luck,
Nisha

No. It is not always the case.

I will give you an example.
In Central America the Canadian Embassy in charge of processing visas is the Canadian Embassy located in Guatemala eventhough every country has a Canadian Consulate.

HOWEVER, medicals are sent to the Canadian Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago for assessment and the actual yey or nay is finally sent to the embassy in Guatemala.

It all depends. There is a Canadian form that the designated doctor fills that keeps track of the applicant´s information.

OK I will get a little more specific in what I am trying to find out.

Let´s say you have applied and been granted a TRV to Canada a couple of times.

Will the foreign embassy have created a file under your name?

If so, let´s say you then have meds done and they are sent to the same embassy.
Will they then create a new immigration file (they haven´t received your Mississauga file yet) OR will they put your meds into your TRV file?

TIA
