Subject: Visitor visa for mother
  Hi Friends,

I am currently in Canada on Temporary Residence (Work Permit) ,
which expires on 19 April 2011. My company has applied for extension of Work permit and currently in process right now my Visa is on ´implied status´.

Can I sent invitation letter to my mother for applying Visitor/tourist visa for 4 months from 15 March to 15 July.
Will the Visa officer consider that my work permit is on extension process and approve the visa ??.

I can´t wait for my visa extension to be completed as it would take atleast 90 days. I want my mother to be present with me to welcome
the new member in your family.

Please help. I am not able to find any information on the net about this.

Thanks

Not really, there is no prove that your permit is going to be extended. How are going to guarantee that your mom is leaving with you if your status is not extended?...not happening.

You should wait until you have your extention and then send your mom a letter of invitation. As stands right now, the chances of her visa to be approved are slim to none.
