Subject: Waiting Period after Medicals
My medicals were requested for my FSW application and submitted on 10 August 2010 (they due by 6 Sept 2010). Landing fees were also paid then. Can anyone help with an approximate time line by which I will be invited to an interview or granted permanent residence or denied.

Rather than landing fees, I meant Right of Permanent Residence fees

FSW time-lines can be easily shared at the other Canada immigration forum.

Hi Parker

Check on the above mentioned website. You will see the information for the full procesing timeline for your country of application.

I guess, it will help a very little but you can calculate based on the timeline stated here how much to wait.

approximate timeline on above website - the months you have already passed before you did your medical and paid your RPRF = You have to wait for this many months more.

Best luck.
Nisha

Thank you Nicha. The following is my Client Application Status:

-We received your application for permanent residence on September 2, 2009.

-We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 29, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

-We transferred your application to the * office on November 4, 2009. The * office may contact you.

-Your application was reviewed and we started processing on June 11, 2010.

I submitted medicals in August 2010 and read that they are only valid for 12 months. The average processing time at the imm. office is 14 months. Does this mean that I have a 14 month wait from Sept 09 or Jun 10?

Hi Anonymous,

If you go to the Canadian immigration website in your country of application. It should have stated that from what date you have to count your 14 months.

If it doesnt say, I would assume, your time starts at October 29, 2009.

For your worries about medical, it is valid for 12 months and that period starts on the day you did your medical so it will be valid until August 2011. Dont worry, most probably you will hear back soon.

Best luck,
Nisha

Hi Nisha,

You have been helpful. My locate website says that processing times begin on the day the office receives a complete application and end on the day the final decision (i.e. approval/refusal) leaves the office. As you pointed out, I hope to hear from them soon as this waiting without feedback is a real pain.
