Subject: Waiting for AOR
  Hi,
I mailed my application (outside Canada sponsorship)to Mississauga to sponsor my spouse and they received it on Jan. 19.
How long does it take to get a replay that they received my application and its being transferred to Buffalo?
If something was wrong with application would they return it to me by now?
Please replay.
Thank you.

Must have been due to too many sex partners. They probably won´t reject your case on account of hepatitis-B. We all know you are pretty much screwed because of that virus but it is usually non-life threatening and when it becomes serious, it turns into cancers... but cancers are unpredictable and untreatable and usually this happens in old age so they might disregard it. Your chances of getting hepatitis-b are quite high even in Canada if you are kissing a lot of people on their mouths. There are also cases where genital herpes was transferred to partners during oral pleasures.

Hi,

If there was something wrong with your application (i.e - you forgot to submit the required forms, didn´t include a fees reciept for the proper amount, didn´t sign the forms, etc.) I´m pretty sure that the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga would have already returned the application to you.

As for how long it will take to hear from CIC regarding your application...

It´ll take roughly a month for the Mississauga CPC to inform you whether or not you´ve been approved as your wife´s sponsor. Once approval is given that is when they will forward your wife´s PR application to Buffalo for processing. After it is forwarded to Buffalo, it can be anywhere from a few weeks to roughly 2 months before an Acknowledgement of Receipt is sent out.

For example, my husband was approved as my sponsor on August 6, 2004 and Mississauga forwarded my PR application to Buffalo. Buffalo didn´t send out my Acknowledgement of Receipt letter until October 6th.

I´m afraid you just have to get used to waiting. We submitted our application in June, and didn´t hear back until August that they wanted more information. We sent it back in immediately, and they only started processing on September 20.

This is an exercise in PATIENCE!!!

Good luck.
