ok to all of you who asnwer me thanks a lot. I have not been able to access my previous thread may be it is blocked?
anyhow to all who have concern about her being taken care of: Yes my mom was in hospital for a month. She has been seen almost regularly by doc and nurse at home , who are amazed by how well she is been kept ( touch wood). I AM DOING every thing my self. I am her nurse, PSW, and physio therapist. But if I fall sick the govn has to spend money on me...... and yes \i have been paying my taxes not that I am rich but still. I cannot go to USA because of my son. when he was young I lost him several times never went more than 30 min derive from sick kids hospital. he needed transfusions.he is doing great I am thankful but still has issues...
about my mom she is not a burden Yes finances are hard difficult. I bought her travellers insurance by making so many cuts in my budget. her expense is ......roughly , I am not going to write it even, iam not asking about finicial help. I want to go by law about her stay . I am not a super human. As happy and amazed DOCtors are with the job. About taking care of her. I am doing, i need help too or resourses that i am trying to find. I beleive there are many people who are kind enough to help and most of all prayers from all of you will open doors for her and me - what i have done is a lot, what iam going is a lot but we human being canot give up faith in humanity. Thank you all who replied and last her origion is not from USA she is from a 3rd world country. She came to attend her only daughter;s son´s kinder garden graduation. Any human being´s life irrespective where he /she is from deseve to be respected and loved. that is what I beleive . Thank you again

Hi there,
The forum only allows so many answers per thread (10?). After that the thread is automatically locked.
I think you will face the following challenges in legalizing your mother´s status (i.e. making sure she can stay legally).
If you apply through regular family class, it will take a very long time (5+ years) and her application will ultimately be rejected because of her health issues (she will be seen as someone who will place a burden on the Canadian health care system).
If you go the H&C route, it will take around three years for the process to be completed (and no one here can tell you if it will be successful or not).

Why even apply for H&C factors and inform CBSA that your Mother is here and has over stayed?
All medical costs will have to be covered by you and they will be HUGE.
No one here or anywhere else can tell you what to do. This is a personal decision based on your families personal circumstances.
Start visiting authorized representatives that win H&C applications and take their advice.
If your Mother has medical coverage in the States send her there. Regardless.

to @Roy and @**.52.180.201]Anonymous .Thank you for your reply. honestly we donot even know if she will live that long or not. and yes I already know what you mean by " HUGE" in medical bills.and she does-not have coverage in USA. Like you said it is personal decision trying to make a right choice and right decision.So can sleep at night without a guilt. Thanks again.
