I am getting married to a girl who is a British passport holder. Now I know that she can visit Canada anytime she likes. We are getting married in the UK in June.
Should I bring her here and then apply for citizenship or do i need to get her down here on fiance visa or something?
Kindly help

(in reply to: British wife and I'm a canadian citizen.) just to make it clear.
I will get married on jun 15th and flying back to Canada on Jun 25th. I want to make sure she comes back to Canada with me. We are only engaged. How would that work?

(in reply to: British wife and I'm a canadian citizen.) Hi,
Thank you for responding.
I went through the website you gave me. There is only an application or procedure for "Application for permanent residence in Canada — Spouse or common-law partner".
As I said before, we are not married yet and this application and information is for, if you are already married. According to this application, I get married, come back to Canada and then apply for her.
How can I bring her down here within 10 days of marriage? Should she just not mention at the airport that she is going to canada for visit and once she is down, i claim that we are married?

(in reply to: British wife and I'm a canadian citizen.) adeel, what you want to do- cannot be done. if you do what you are suggesting - you both commit fraud and your application will be denied.
