CAN ANY ONE INFORM THE LATEST POLICY OF CIC REGARDING CLEARENCE OF BACKLOG CASES FROM INDIA WHO HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 86 MONTHS WITHOUT ANY DECSION.? IT IS PITY TO THESE POOR APPLICANTS WAITING ENDLESSLY SINCE LONG AND WASTED THEIR TIME, MONEY, PROPER PLANNING FOR THE LOST PERIOD OF SEVEN YEARS. NOTHING IS LOST IF CIC CONSIDER THESE CASES ON PRIORITY AND PROVIDE THE LONG DUE JUSTICE TO US.

REGARDS

Preetinder,

CIC´s latest policy is to clear the backlog along with the new applications that have been submitted under fast track process. The best strategy for the applicants who are in the que for a long period is to submit a new application under fast track, but it is only possible if the applicant has his/her occupation in the 29 occupations list prepared by CIC.

Backlogged cases (in reply to: PR TO 2004 APPLICANTS APPLIED FROM NEW DELHI)
But is this not a joke or fraud commited with thousands of applicants who have been waiting for long. Is it not a grave injustice being done by a developed country to poor and innocent persons. What will be your reaction if this type of situation is faced by you or any member of CHC.

Dear,

I have experienced all that you are experiencing now. Please be aware that Canadian visa is NOT your right. It´s a privilege by the Canada government being provided to the people all over the world. So, be patient OR adopt the path i have already suggested you.

Sir, do you think that Mr kenney has mis informrd the public as well as parliment in his statement last june 2010 that he want to be fair to backlogged cases.>Do you mean that he will never clear backlogged cases during his tenure? If so then it is very unfotunate on the part of Honable Immi minister. Did he took office for metting grave injustice to poor and innocent backloggers?

Pretender or is it Preetinder...

you seem to want to whine. Nobody said you could not re-apply under the new rules and get a faster processing time, assuming you qualify under the new rules.

If you don´t still qualify, be glad they did not simply send back your application with a refund and say - sorry - we changed our minds!

I doubt that immigration and Canada is the best choice for you anyway. If you are already feeling like a victim, you will never make it here.

Sorry for little harsh

not sure who you are yelling at. You have paid Canada $550. The rest was your decision to have a consultant help you. I believe you were also given opportunity to withdraw and get a refund - am I correct? I recall a lot of folks asking for advice on this subject a couple of years back.

Canada cannot control who you hire to assist you and how much you pay them. Why should you reapply - because if you qualify under the new rules, you will have an answer within th e year. If you continue waiting under the old rules, you could be waiting another 4-5 years.

that´s why

Came across this site while surfing.

Preetinder I sympathise with you wholeheartedly.

Sandeep Prashar what you said is also true. But I now wish to ask if canada visa is a privilege, why are the canadian authorities abusing this privilege (which by the way is their requirement). You may call it a privilege but it is also true that they have a certain requirement, which these applicants are fulfilling. Its a two way process and privilege or not both parties stand to gain. I dont think canada will just accept immigrants unless they have a specific requirement. One has a privilege because of certain qualities found in him so canada, in my eyes, is not doing the applicants a favor. It is more that the applicants are doing them a favor and applying to fill up their vacancies, in whatever category is applicable.

Another point you mentioned Sharon is that they can reapply. You will notice that most "whinnies" are the ones who cannot reapply because they do not qualify under the new rules. I wonder what you would do if you were in Preetinder´s case.

A little sympathetic approach does not hurt anyone. When ones whole life is on hold for such long time frames anyone would feel like "whining". It does not make him less suited for a particular cause.

This is my general point of view. Not meaning to hurt anyones sentiments - just stating a few facts. Hope the message gets through to all concerned, including the immigration authorities.

If I am not mistaken, a good number of old applications were sent a letter from CIC asking them if they wanted to remain in the system or if they would like a refund.

If you did not choose to do so, that is your problem - not CICs. There has been significant discussion on this forum and others about the ramifications of the change of rules and older applications.

Why anyone would put their life on hold for more than 7 years makes no sense to me whatsoever. I have no idea what people expect to find in Canada but it certainly is not worth 7 years of waiting.

If I was Preetender, I would be investing my time and energy in creating a prosperous life exactly where I am rather than waiting 7 years for a chance at something that may or may not work out.

that is as honest as I can be.
