Subject: Parents Immigration for Non resident Canadians
  hello,

i have applied for my parents canadian immigration while i was in canada. Now i am living overseas and my parents file is in the queue at local consulate and their medical forms are on their way? Now, am i elgible to sponsor my parents whele residing outside of canada. they take such a long time to process the parents application that soemtimes it just becomes a headache and u may eventually want to move close to your parents? is there a flexibility somewhere in the immigration law that can help me in this scenario?

Not if your not paying Canadian Income Taxes hence not meeting the LICO.

I think in the situation explained, your parents file wont be affected as you are already approved as the Sponsor and the file has been transffered to Local Post. I am not sure though.

sorry disregard my earlier post,

As I said I wasnt sure, I checked CIC website, it says, you must be living in Canada to sponsor other family members (other than Spouse and dependent Children).

So you have to be here. Roy is correct.
