| Subject: What is the process for deportation? |

Would really appreciate feedback on CBSA deportation process.
If the person waiting for deportation has lost their travel documents what would be the process to obtain travel documents and get out of detention? In this case, the person has been in detention for almost 3 months and just want to get out of detention and on their way home.

Since this deplorable person is in detention, not so fast! Deportation will happen at the glacial pace the Govt usually works....

ok thanks, but are we looking at a few more months or are we talking years? The person has filled out paper work as requested by CBSA and the information was sent on to the Government of China to which CBSA received a response so would this indicate that something is in the works?

They may even take you down to the Consulate so the staf there can ask you a few questions.
More than likely they will not wait for a passport but try to obtain a emergency travel document.
Speaking from experience!
You can assist by stopping to play games and help them get you on a plane because your not getting out.

I guess there really no sense of the time that all of this will take? As I said, my friend has been in detention for 3 months now.
I believe my friend was truthful in providing her information and does understand that she has no chance of remaining in Canada.
Just trying to help her understand the process and the timelines as all she wants is to get out of jail and on a plane home.
